Properties

Cistus or Linden is an aromatic and medicinal plant containing balsamic resin aromatic substance laudanum or linden or linden has the highest content of polyphenols of any plant in Europe with an amazing ability to destroy electron microscopic roots as well as high antioxidant activity, enhances the immune system. The resin has antimicrobial and cytostatic activity. It has proven action against viruses, bacteria and fungi. It has anti-inflammatory action and protects the intestine. It helps in many fungal infections such as mycosis, candida albicans. It is effective for skin inflammation, acne and chronic conditions such as psoriasis & eczema, while finally, it is widely used for anti-aging skin care (external use).

Harvest

HOLOMON organic herbs Organic Cistus is collected from Mount Holomontas during the summer months of June – July at an altitude of 704m – 900m. The selection of herbs is based on their growth stage. We always collect those parts of the plant that are suitable for the creation of the products, but without inactivating its growth.

Production

Holomon Organic Herbs’ Cistus Oil is derived from the immersion of organic Cistus in our own production of Agurea Oil that has the Health Claim designation according to the European Regulation 432/2012 of EFSA. It is prepared by the traditional slow method, as it takes almost two months to complete the extraction of the oil. 100% Natural product. No preservatives, colourings, artificial flavours and genetically modified ingredients.
