Properties
The active substances contained in milk thistle are silymarin, which is found in its seeds; it contains bitter substances and polyacetylenes, flavones (silybin, silydianin, silicicristine) and essential oil. Thistle Silyvon is believed to renew the cells of the liver and protect it from toxins, stimulate memory, increase the role of bile and act against gallstones.
Harvest
The organic thistle (Silybum) of HOLOMON organic herbs is collected from Mount Holomontas in June during the flowering period at an altitude of 804m. The selection of herbs is based on their growth stage. We always collect those parts of the plant that are suitable for the creation of the products, but without inactivating its growth. The suitable stems are harvested by hand and then dried in specially designed natural drying areas, without the use of environmental machinery.
Standardization
Once the drying of the herbs is completed, the stems are again hand-sorted to be taken to the standardization process, which takes place in certified, specially designed areas, with modern machinery to ensure the quality and safety of the final product.
